Read Jude 1-2 what do you notice regarding the word translated ‘beloved’?
Look up the word ‘covenant’ in a Hebrew and Greek dictionary what do you learn from the definitions?
Using a concordance - how many covenants has God made with mankind?
Which of these covenants are still operational?
List their promises and conditions
List any signs associated with these covenants.
How did God ratify, or by what process did God inaugurate these covenants?
Do not allow yourself to be overwhelmed by this homework - just do what you can using the study materials and sources available to you.
Before Session Two
List the 8 covenants God made with mankind in Scripture:
Which of them are no longer in effect?
Why were they rescinded?
Look up the details of the Abrahamic Covenant in Genesis 12, 13, 15, 17, 22
Make a list of the specific details and signs of this covenant.
Notice how God amplified and established this covenant.
Read Deuteronomy 30 and 2 Samuel 7:8-16 and list the details of the Land covenant and the Davidic Covenant.
Read Jeremiah 29-33
What is happening in Israel at this time?
What is the word of God to Israel?
Read Jeremiah 31:31-37 and list the details of the New Covenant
What is Jeremiah told to do in Jeremiah 32 and why?

Review the 8 covenants that we have mentioned so far in this study.
In what way do each of them point to Christ Jesus?
Read Galatians 3:23-29
How would you explain the purpose of the Mosaic Law?
Is the Mosaic Covenant still in operation?
Read Jeremiah 29-33
What is happening in Israel at this time? Why?
What is God’s word to Israel through Jeremiah?
Ask questions of the text: who does Jeremiah send his letter to?
Where are they? When was this? What does God promise? To whom?
Why is God speaking to them? What is His purpose?
What are God’s instructions to Jeremiah in Jeremiah 32?
Why does God tell him to do this?
Read Jeremiah 31:31-37 again and list the details of the New Covenant
Before Session Four
Review Jeremiah 29-33 especially the details of the New Covenant
What is the basis for this New Covenant?
Read Matt. 26:27–28; Mark 14:22–24; Luke 22:19–20.
Understanding that the New Covenant was made with the nation of Israel - think about the following……
How did Gentiles figure before Christ?
How do they fit into the New Covenant?
